Chisuk Emuna Pillars of Strength kickoff:
What a joyous event!
June 8 was a historic and wonderful day for Chisuk Emuna Congregation as we celebrated the beginning of our Pillars of Strength initiative, and congregants and friends began scribing letters in our new Torah.

Here is news coverage of the event from ABC27. And additional coverage on PennLive! Stay tuned for a video from the event coming to your inbox soon!
Thank you to the Gordon family for helping to fund a new Torah scroll. They scribed the first letter in the Torah.
There are still plenty of opportunities to participate in this once-in-a-generation experience of scribing a letter in the Torah: Sept. 7, 8, and Dec. 7, 2025.

To sign up to write a letter, sponsor a Parsha or section, or to ask questions, contact pillars.of.strength@chisukemuna.org.
The other exciting part of the day was Chisuk Emuna President Todd Barron revealing that the six-month campaign to raise funds for the new Torah, the upkeep of the synagogue, and provide programming for families, has already raised over $450,000 in donations and pledges!
Thank you to Pillars of Strength co-chairs Jennifer Lench and Jennifer Baker, Rabbi Muroff and all the hard-working volunteers who are making Pillars of Strength – Supporting Torah, Family, and the Home We Cherish, a reality and success.

Much more to come!
